Come on out May 5th and show support for the Albuquerque climbing community. Oh, and it will be fun too, we promise! Shredfest is a community service project and climbing competition rolled into one. The absolute pinnacle of competitive climbing, winning is so prestigious that first through third place will be awarded a painted pet rock. Yes!
This year the clean up and competition will be happening simultaneously with competitors picking up trash as they move around the boulders. Points will be awarded for the number of completed boulder problems as well as the amount of trash you pick up. The more you pickup the more points you earn and the closer you get to becoming a climbing legend.
You will need: your climbing stuff, a pad if you own one (we will share if you don't), and a pair of gloves.
We will have: Score cards, a waiver to sign, and food and drink for the awards ceremony picnic.
When: May 5th, meet at the trail head at 8:30am. If you're late you can meet us at the U-Mound boulders.
